Fabric Out greater than > Fabric In = I can shut the cupboard doors ! Yey.
Now I just need to work on those bags/ baskets / boxes of fabric on top.
BTW - that is not a dalek sticking out in the corner. |
So my Sew Year Resolution is not to buy anymore sewing supplies unless it is needed to complete a project.
Happy New Year from me and my sewing mate Toby.
Happy New Year Janine!
ReplyDeleteLove your sewing mathematics and your resolution!
I have the same cabinet (top one) only mine holds a fraction of our dvd collection.
I'm sure that my husband is well aware of my fabric addiction- he hauled 5 huge bags of it down to our storage locker-much to my dismay. My current addiction is to sewing patterns- bought 2 yesterday from Spotlight (butterick see & sew) for $5.00 and also 1.50m piece of fabric for $1.00 and i ordered 7 Butterick patterns from BMV. Sorry spotlight - you can't compete on pattern prices
I figure that it's a new year, a fresh start, lots of dreams & possibilities
All I can say to such a noble and difficult goal is good luck.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Thanks for our comment als Janine!!
ReplyDeleteI remember feeling mighty cheesed off with Neale when he carted off all my fabric to the locker. I wouldn't have a clue what fabrics are here and what i've actually got now - i think a fair bit of it was smaller lengths/remnants i bought for the boys and Laura when they were alot younger. I have brought back a few pieces when I've been there - but i look at it as a good reason/excuse to buy more!!!
Janine, i agree with you about the hot weather - it's awful! Have just checked the forecast for tomorrow and sorry to say, it's supposed to be even hotter than today. We're just sitting around the loungeroom doing as little as possible with a fan and air conditioner going - and I'm trying not to think of the next electricity bill!
ReplyDeleteHave read Contest some time ago and nearly all of Matthew Reilly's other books, and quite liked them.
Happy New Year! Way to go with using fabric from the stash this past year. I know it has been satisfying for me to do the same :) Though I'm not sure if I used more from the stash or from new purchases. Hmmm....
ReplyDeleteI know I could not share a hobby space with my husband. He doesn't share the same work-in-progress chaos that multiple projects at the same time do for my space. He is good at working on one thing at a time.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
(at hiding the true space your hobby takes up)
